Frequently Asked Questions

*How much will involvement with this program and trip cost?

Hopefully nothing!  With your help, we hope to receive donations from corporate and local sponsors.  Group and individual fundraising efforts will determine the price of your trip.

*Do I need any experience in order to participate in Viking Expeditions?
Nope!  You just need to come with a desire to give back to Cleveland, as well as your service site, and an open mind.

*How many people are participating in the program?
We hope to have 40 students (plus the Viking Expeditions Committee) attend the service trip.

*I think I’ve heard of something like this…

We based our group on the idea of the “alternative” spring breaks, meaning that our trip will benefit the greater good in addition to being alcohol and drug free, regardless of age.

*Will I miss class?
We plan our trips around the academic schedule.

*Who will be leading the trip?
A student leader or faculty/staff leader will be on site to keep you informed of the schedule and facilitate reflection.
