Dating & Domestic Violence Support

  • Kathleen Vogtsberger, a social worker and counselor from the Cleveland Domestic Violence & Child Advocacy Center, is available for appointments. Contact Kathleen at 216.229.2420 or kvogtsberger@dvcac.org .  The Mareyjoyce Green Women’s Center can connect you with resources, but DOES NOT provide Domestic Violence Counseling services.

Computer Essentials for Students

  • For new or continuing students who feel that strengthening their computer skills would help them become more efficient and effective. This is a very basic workshop for those with limited exposure to the electronic tools and resources students use daily. The workshop is offered at no charge.  Please call or stop by for more information.

    •Checking financial aid, grades, etc. via CampusNet
    •Microsoft Word (tips, tricks & shortcuts)
    •Intro to Tutoring Services
    •Mobile Campus
    •Utilizing thumb drives, attachment, links, PDF and more
    •Utilizing Blackboard & Electronic Course Reserve (ECR)

Support and Self-Improvement Workshops

  • Women's Issues Group facilitated by the CSU Counseling Center
    Maintaining Boundaries, Communication, Assertiveness, Self-Esteem, Resilience, Relationships, and more. A pre-screening appointment is required and can be scheduled by calling the CSU Counseling Center at 216.687.2277. See calendar of events for time/dates.
  • Healthy Relationships Workshop for Women & Men
    Facilitated by Rena Patel, CSU Counseling Center
    Learn what healthy relationships look like as well as how to build and maintain them. No pre-screening is required but you must register by calling 216.687.2277.

Food Assistance

  • Food Pantry
    The Women’s Center maintains a small food pantry to assist students in times of need.  The pantry is stocked by donations from the CSU community- including faculty, staff and students.
  • Cleveland Foodbank
    The Cleveland Foodbank is in the Women’s Center every other Wednesday afternoon to help students determine eligibility/register for long-term food assistance,  provide hot meal and pantry location sites as we  as check on eligibility for other assistance
