Camp Vike (CV) is a three day camp for 100 incoming freshman at Cleveland State University (CSU) hosted by the Department of Student Life and the Office of Inclusion and Multicultural Engagement. CV gives freshman the opportunity to learn about CSU’s heritage, history and traditions. Students will also be taught about the many things to do both on and off campus. They will learn how to get involved in campus activities, the numerous academic support services and resources available to them, and how to be successful their first year at CSU.
Through CV, students will meet over 100 CSU students before they even step foot in the classroom. This will provide them with a strong support system and hopefully students will leave CV with lasting friendships. Students will also have opportunities to meet upperclassmen, faculty and staff that are excited to share their knowledge with CV students.
Camp Vike is a unique experience that will foster engagement for incoming freshman at CSU. In order to provide continued support for CV participants, all CV students will be invited and encouraged to be a part of the Freshman Class Council.
**Please note that the first 50 students to fill out this application, turn in their waiver and pay the $10 deposit will be guaranteed a spot at Camp Vike and
will be notified upon receipt of all documents. Once those 50 spots are filled, the remaining applicants will be notified by Monday August 5 of their status.**
