Is Camp Vike for me?
Yes! If you are an incoming freshman, you are highly encouraged to attend Camp Vike. Be sure to apply as soon as possible to guarantee your spot. Spots are limited. There is a $10 fee to hold your spot.
Why Should I attend?
If you are interested in learning about Cleveland State University and want to meet people before the first day of class, then Camp Vike is the place for you! You will learn about many things to do on and off campus, how to get involved in campus activities, the numerous academic support services and resources available to you on campus.
Camp Vike creates a family within your freshman class. You may make friends that last a lifetime and you get the opportunity to connect with upperclassmen, faculty and staff that will have the answers and knowledge to help you be successful at CSU.
Where is Camp Vike?
Camp Vike is at Punderson Manor located in Newbury Ohio. The campsite has running water and full facilities. We will NOT be sleeping in tents on the ground. The address is:

When is Camp Vike?
Camp Vike will be Monday August 19, 2013-Wednesday August 21, 2013. We will depart CSU Monday morning and return Wednesday afternoon.
What do I need to bring?
Punderson Manor provides the following:
Bed Linens (sheets, blankets, pillows, etc.)
Bath Linens (towels, wash cloths, hand towels and bath mat)
All you need to bring are personal toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, soap, etc.), comfortable clothing and sneakers/closed toed shoes for three days. You may bring a swimsuit if you desire to go swimming. All meals will be provided but you may bring snacks if you desire. Please see the complete packing list on our website for more details.
What types of activities are there to do at Punderson?
Indoor & outdoor swimming pools
Create your own adventure and try geocaching
14 miles of hiking trails covering the park grounds
Tennis, volleyball, and basketball courts, frisbee golf, shuffleboard, corn hole, and horse shoe pits are available
How much does it cost?
Camp Vike costs $10 for three days and two nights at Punderson Manor. All transportation (to and from CSU), meals and activities are provided. Financial assistance is available for those who qualify. This is a nonrefundable fee.
