The Advocacy: The same accomplished party with two new members, new ideas and new challenges. Continue to be available, approachable and accountable. Main Goals:

  • Campus Involvement: Continuing in assisting student groups; helping students get involved on campus. Increasing the monies allocated towards campus activities/involvement.
  • Campus Parking: Continuing to work on the parking issue on campus to help meet the students’ needs.
  • Student Organization Funding Process: Simplifying the process and increasing the monies allocated.
  • New Projects: Viking Cash with local businesses, Undergraduate Research Office, and a major campus concert.
President – Moatasem N. Al Bitar President – Moatasem N. Al Bitar
I am a transfer student from University of Cairo, Egypt, majoring in Biology, and am the current Student Body President. Under my leadership, Student Government achieved the largest increase in student activities funding ($400,000) in the history of CSU. SGA successfully lobbied for a late night study facility, the new Viking loop, and an undergraduate research program. I plan to continue working on increasing student involvement, pride, and tradition at Cleveland State.
Christopher D. Caspary Vice-President – Christopher D. Caspary:
I graduated cum laude from OSU in June, 2010. I am in my second year at the Cleveland Marshall College of Law and am also an MBA student. I am specializing in employment law and have also worked for the Federal Trade Commission. I have been involved with Viking Expeditions in the past, and am also a Resident Assistant in Euclid Commons. I served as the Secretary of Student Government this year.
Kaitlin W. Vandemark Secretary – Kaitlin W. Vandemark:
I am a junior at Cleveland State University studying Physics and Communications. I am currently a Research Assistant in the Physics Department and a Resident Assistant in Fenn Tower. I have been involved in the Society of Physics Students (SPS) for three years serving as Vice President for the past two years. I have been active in Viking Expeditions and am a member of the Student Government Association’s Finance Committee.
Alicia R. Neubeck Treasurer – Alicia R. Neubeck
I am a third year Math major in Cleveland State’s Scholars program and am also pursuing a minor in Nonprofit Administration. I am a second year Resident Assistant in Fenn Tower. I currently serve as the Finance Chair of Viking Expeditions and I chair the Service Funding Committee. I am a new member of Sigma Alpha Pi, the National Society of Leadership and Success and am also the Director of Public Relations for Student Government.
