Mission Statement

The mission of the Viking Card program is to provide innovative, reliable card services and support to students, faculty and staff which enhance the overall educational engagement and experience at Cleveland State University.

The mission will be directed by the following Goals:

  1. Enhance customer service and quality of campus life for the CSU Community by supporting a single card for access to resources and activities.
  2. Manage campus data efficiently and with maximum security through the integration of core databases.
  3. Provide cost savings and financial controls in administrative and operational units by eliminating multiple cards and minimizing manual and cash transactions.
  4. Enhance campus safety and security by extending Viking Card use to access control.
  5. Increase Vikingcash deposits through maximum acceptance on campus, ease of use and marketing initiatives.
  6. Enhance the image of CSU with stable, secure technology that is functional and easy to use.
