Theme Weeks

There is a theme for each week of camp. Activities are based on the theme for that session. Examples: Pirates, Mini Viking, Carnival, Amazing Race and Fun in the Sun Please note: special events and activities may be included in each theme week!

Week 1 June 15th-19th
Fun in the Sun
Tired of being stuck inside because of the cold?  It’s time to enjoy the beautiful summer sun!  We’re soaking it up with tons of outdoor games, so don’t forget your sunscreen!

Week 2 June 22th-June 26th
Underwater Adventures
Join us as we explore the exciting world underwater!  The water will be your home this week while we explore the animals and plants that live in the ocean blue.  Make sure you bring a towel!

Week 3 June 29th-July 3rd
Lights, Camera, Action!
Are you ready to be a star?  Practice those acting skills and warm up those singing voices because we are taking on Hollywood!  Do you have what it takes to be CSU’s shining star?

Week 4 July 6th-10th
Sports and Games
Think you know all about the playground?  We will teach you some new games along with some traditional playground favorites.  Get a chance to learn and play with your friends at CSU!!

Week 5 July 13th-17th
Carnival
Come one, come all, step right up to the greatest carnival in town!  Can you win the biggest prize of all?  Come test your skills in the carnival built for you!

Week 6 July 20th-24th
Astronomy Week
We are blasting off into space this week!  How many constellations can you name?  Learn them all, and much more, as we explore all things space!
           
Week 7 July 27th-31st
Mini Viking:  College student for a week
Have you always wondered what Cleveland State University was all about?  You can find out this week when you become a mini-Viking!  Visit the University Library, Fenn Tower and Viking Hall Dorms, the Wolstein Center and the rest of CSU’s cool spots!  

Week 8 August 3rd-7th
Amazing Race
Welcome to the Amazing Race!  Learn all about the United States in this race around the country!  Gather up facts and skills to compete at the end of the week in this thrilling adventure!

CSU Affiliates*
$55 per session

Community (Non affiliated)
$60 per session

*CSU affiliates include children of student, faculty and staff of CSU, and Recreation Center members

Registration Information

To reserve a place for your child, fill out the reservation form on our website or pick one up at the membership desk and send it in with your deposit. The enrollment packet with all of the required forms will then be mailed. Enrollment packets may also be picked up at the Recreation Center or printed from our website. Enrollment forms and payment must be received prior to the start of the session the camper will be attending. Spaces are not guaranteed from one session to the next without payment.

Extended Care included in the camp cost

Camp space is limited—please register early
A $15 non-refundable and non-transferable registration fee is due for each session in which the child is enrolling. This fee will be deducted from the total camp charges.
Registrations will continue until all sessions are filled.
Registrations may be cancelled up to the first day of each session.  All camp fees will be refunded with the exception of the $15 non-refundable and non-transferable registration fee.
All sessions include both water and land activities— so don’t forget wet and dry clothes.
All campers enrolled in both morning and afternoon sessions must bring a packed lunch.  Morning and afternoon snack provided.
