When you cannot fathom hopping on the treadmill anymore, come try one of our many free group fitness classes. We promise a great workout and the opportunity to mingle with people who share your same goals.

Group X Class Descriptions

Cardio Sculpt – 45 minutes
45-minutes of cardiovascular and toning exercises using steps, bosu’s, bands, body bars, weights, and balls. A perfect all-around workout!

Abs – 15 minutes
A jam-packed 15 minute class that focuses on your core.

Total Toning – 45 minutes
Achieve that sleek, toned look you have always wanted with this class. This 45-minute session will have your muscles sculpted in no time!

Aqua Shallow – 45 minutes
Get ready to take the plunge. This class will get your heart pumping while using the resistive properties of water to kick your cardio up a notch! Swimming skills not required.

Aqua Deep – 45 minutes
Challenge you water workout by taking it to the deep. Less tension on the joints with more resistance. Jogging belts provided.

CSU90x Plyo – 45 minutes
An intense class that incorporates power and agility drills; perfect for participants looking to improve their speed and coordination through high-impact, plyometric exercises. **NOTE: This class uses high impact exercises that involve jumping. May not be suitable for all populations.

TRX– 45 minutes
Work on improving muscle size, muscle tone, and balance while strengthening your core with the TRX! This 45 minute class uses the TRX suspension training to give you an intense total body workout using only your body weight. There are only limited spaces available per class so get here early to secure your spot! This class requires an intermediate to expert fitness level to participate.

Barre Class– 60 minutes
Looking for long, lean muscle? Discover the techniques dancers have been using for ages to sculpt, condition, and stretch their bodies. Starting with a base of classical ballet barre exercises, we add some Pilates, a little yoga, and light hand weights to tone, open, and shape. Experience better posture and improve your flexibility and grace along with a total body workout.

AM Cardio Pump - 45 minutes
Need a kick in the butt in the morning to get your day started? This class provides a highly active workout to help you start and end your week with a purpose!

CSUFit - 45 minutes
Put your fitness through the entire fitness gamut. Endurance, power, strength, and will to overcome plateaus. This class is comparable to our 158 in intensity, but will sufficiently prepare you for our First Annual CSU Fitness Challenge coming this February! Class meets in room 158. **NOTE: This class requires an intermediate to expert fitness level to participate

Premium Class Descriptions(Pass Required)

158 – 45 minutes
Short but intense class that focuses on functional training, core, and endurance. Formats vary by instructor, but most classes will include TR-X suspension training, kettlebells, plyo moves and more! Come see how you can take your fitness to a whole new level. **NOTE: This class requires an intermediate to expert fitness level to participate.

SPINNING®


Spinning® - 45 and 60 minutes
One of the hottest classes in the industry right now! These non-impact, calorieblasting classes continue to be our most popular ones every year. We offer 45 and 60 minute rides each week that are set to upbeat, funky music designed to push you to excel.

Mind/Body


Yoga – 45 or 60 minutes
From beginner to advanced, this class will help participants process in their current yoga practice. Some experienced recommended but not required. All levels are welcome!

Pilates – 60 minutes
Pilates principles include control, fluid movement, breathing, concentration, stability and postural alignment. Prepare yourself to enhance postural alignment, coordination, strength and flexibility. The exhalation causes the deep core muscles to press against the diaphragm to expel the air, causing a deeper core contraction.

Dance


Zumba® – 60 minutes
Join the party with this fun class that uses simple Latin-inspired dance steps to work your core and tone your body...all while having a blast!

  • No refunds will be issued for cancellation by participants
  • A full refund will be issued for all programs cancelled by Campus Recreation Services.
  • Please allow two weeks for the processing of all refunds
  • No transfers to other sections will be allowed
  • All refunds picked up at the Welcome Desk
