Faculty/Staff Membership Explanations

Full-time Faculty/Staff Eligibility

The faculty/staff rate is available for employees with a 100% recurring appointment for full-time Cleveland State employees, and University retirees who have been designated as Emeriti or Associate of the University; verifying identification is required. Payment options include cash, credit card, check, or payroll deduction. A one or four month membership must be paid in full at time of joining. A membership paid by payroll deduction is on-going and continues until a written notice of membership cancellation is given.

Part-Time Faculty/Staff and Cleveland State Business Partner Eligibility

Part-time or adjunct employees, Cleveland State business partners, and all other retirees may purchase a membership. Part-time staff must have a 50% or greater appointment. Part-time faculty may purchase a membership during the semester the appointment is active. A Cleveland State business partner is an employee of a company affiliated with Cleveland State through a management company to offer campus services; sponsored by a university department (e.g. ACC). All memberships must be paid in full at time of joining with cash, check, MasterCard or Visa.

Spouse/Partner/Dependent

Spouse or partner and dependents of faculty/staff may purchase a membership at a matching rate (e.g. spouse/partner of a full-time faculty/staff pays $315.00 for an annual pass); a marriage license is required. Partners are defined as individuas who are of the same gender, who share a regular or permanent residence, have a committed personal relationship, can demonstrate financial interdependence, and who are not legally married or in another domestic partnership. Same sex domestic partners of Faculty, Administrators and staff must complete an "Affidavit of Domestic Partnership" form from the university.

Non-Prime Membership

This new membership is perfect for the early bird or the weekend warrior. Includes building access during the following times: Monday-Friday 6-9 a.m., Monday-Thursday 8-11p.m and Friday 6-9p.m. as well as unlimited weekends. NOTE: Summer/Holiday Hours will adjust to 5-8 p.m. Monday-Friday. Check it out under faculty/staff or community for rates!

Single-Entry Passes

Faculty and staff may purchase a single-entry pass for themselves for $7. A valid VikingCard is required for entrance. A guest may accompany these individuals by purchasing a $7 guest pass. All passes can be purchased at the Chester Avenue Welcome Desk. Passes are valid for one entry into the facility.
