The staff that runs and manages the CSU Recreation Center is a diverse and talented group of professionals with unique skills and expertise that set us apart from the everyday operations of similar facilities. Nick Froelich is quite familiar with Campus Recreation Services Ů it's given him the opportunity to live in three states and develop his skills in various positions within Student Affairs. But when an opportunity arose in Cleveland back in 2011, he took it as a chance to come back home as he is a native of Perrysburg, Ohio. After serving in three distinct roles at CSU, Nick was promoted to Director in April 2016. When he's not at work, you can find him spending time with his family, performing home improvement projects, pouring over his fantasy sports franchises, traveling, playing golf or rooting on the Red Sox, Buckeyes, Vikings, Cavs, and Browns.

Michelle Rieger comes to Cleveland State University with over twenty years of experience in parks & recreation and private recreation. She directly oversees facility operations at Campus Recreation Services. Michelle also serves as the Risk Management manager. When sheís not working, Michelle can be found experiencing many of Clevelandís favorite attractions, events, restaurants, or outdoor recreation venues.

Kim Rottet is in her third year in Ohio and the Rec Center. Kim has worked in a variety of recreation service positions around the country, and is currently the Associate Director of Programs at the Rec. Her favorite part of her job is being able to teach students and watch them learn outside of the classroom. When she's not at work, she enjoys reading and learning to be a skilled cook. Even though she's allergic to almost everything outdoors, Kim also enjoys hiking, bike riding and being outside as much as possible.

Joe Stolitza has been working at the Rec Center almost since its opening. He was hired as Business Manager six months after the facility opened. Joe Ė a.k.a. Joe Money Ė handles all the financial and human resources aspects of the Rec. He enjoys working on the variety of tasks his job brings and hopes to put in place solid business practices to meet the changing dynamics of the Rec. One of his favorite parts of working here is watching how the Rec constantly updates itself and keeps up with current fitness and wellness trends. Joe enjoys golfing and cycling in his spare time.

After graduating from Ashland University in 2010 with a Bachelorís degree in Sport Management, Mike came to Cleveland State to be the Graduate Supervisor of Facilities at the Rec Center. After working his way up, he is now the Assistant Director of Facilities. His biggest goal is to make the CSU Rec Center one of the premier campus recreation centers in the state by offering outstanding facilities and equipment. Mike is an avid obstacle course racer in the Tough Mudder circuit and when he is not at work you can find him on a local trail or in the weight room.

After graduating from Cleveland State University with a Bachelor's degree in graphic design in 2006, he started work at Penton Media in downtown Cleveland doing graphic design for the Buyers Guides division. In October of 2008, he moved to Meister Media Worldwide in Willoughby, OH, continuing with graphic design and marketing. Following a nearly five-year tenure with Meister, Matt joined the CSU Campus Recreation Services in August 2013. In addition to putting his creativity to use in his work, Matt loves to write and record his own music, and also enjoys cooking and painting in his free time.

Katie Robinson has worked in various capacities at the Rec Center. After starting as a marketing intern in 2009, she has worked her way up to the role of Assistant Director of Member & Guest Services. She loves working with her student staff and watching them grow and develop in their various positions. She hopes to continue to improve training programs while creating a strong staff dynamic. As a certified volleyball official, Katie enjoys officiating boys/girls high school, Junior Olympics, and adult sand/indoor volleyball leagues. When sheís not on the stand officiating, she enjoys competing in her sand/indoor volleyball leagues, taking yoga classes and working out.

As the Assistant Director, Recreation & Outdoor Programs, Kelly works with Intramural Sports, Sport Clubs, Youth Programs and Adventure Recreation. She loves working with students on a daily basis and she hopes to continue to improve the programs she oversees. Kelly came to Cleveland State University after working for a year at Ashland University where she also received her masterís degree In Sport Management. As a certified personal trainer and group fitness instructor, Kelly enjoys being active. She also loves a good competition playing sports and both board and card games.

Melissa Albers joined the CSU Campus Recreation Services team in May 2014 after graduating with her Masterís degree in Kinesiology and Health Promotion from the University of Kentucky. Melissa is responsible for the direct oversight of the fitness and wellness programs including group fitness, personal training, instructional programs, nutrition, and massage therapy. She hopes to provide more opportunities for students to get involved in the fitness and wellness programming and increase the amount of student instructors and personal trainers at the Rec. When she is not at the Rec, you can find her rooting on the Cleveland Browns, going on adventures, or trying out local CLE eateries. Originally from the Cleveland area she is happy to call CLE her home once again.

Jason Mandula began his career at the Recreation Center as a Rec Attendant. During his two years here, he quickly moved up into a Membership Representative and after he graduated became the Graduate Supervisor of Marketing & Membership. After recieving his Master's Degree in May he was offered the position of Membership & Guest Services Coordinator. His favorite part of his job is interacting with patrons and getting to know them on a personal level. Jason's goal is to improve inventory in the Pro Shop to cater to patrons' needs and streamline processes at the front desk for members. He views the Recreation Center as an open and cohesive environment that allows all the employees to work together. Jason is an avid cook and also enjoys playing cards, reading and participating in sports.

Brian Boesch is one of the first people to arrive at the Recreation Center every morning. As Building Maintenance Manager, Brian arrives before sunrise to ensure the facility is up and running before it opens each day. With more than 30 years experience in the maintenance industry, Brian is very skilled at his job. His favorite part of working at the Recreation Center is working with the young student staff. He enjoys training and teaching the staff new things that they may not learn elsewhere. Brian believes the facility has progressed a lot in the past six years, and he would like to see the Recreation Center continue to bring in good quality staff members who are eager to learn and work. Brian also works for the Lake Erie Monsters and attends many hockey games in his spare time.

Mike Baldino started with CSU Campus Recreation Services in August of 2015 and hails from New Jersey. Mike is pursuing a Master's degree in Special Education while fulfilling his Graduate Assistantship with Campus Recreation Services. In addtion to his adventure endeavors, Mike is also very great with our youth programs, including summer camp and our day camps programs. He also enjoys woodworking and is quite handy!

After completing his Bachelorís degree at Ohio University in Exercise Physiology, Taylor came to CSU to earn his Masterís degree in Exercise Science. Taylor has been with CSU Campus Recreation Services since May 2016. He is†not only the Fitness and Wellness graduate supervisor, but also a personal trainer certified through the American College of Sports Medicine.†If he isnít working up a sweat in the gym, you can usually find him cheering on the Buckeyes, Blue Jackets and Steelers.†Taylor is originally from Columbus but really enjoys finding new and exciting things to do in downtown CLE.

Teddy is a recent graduate of Bowling Green State University, graduating from the Sport Management program. While attending BGSU, he completed internships with Wauseon Recreational Services, Toledo Central Catholic High School's athletic department, and BG News, the campus newspaper. Carrie began working at the Recreation Center in January 2015 after receivin her Bachelorís Degree in Sports Management with a concentration in Business Administration from Heidelberg University. She has a background working with children sports leagues and still carries a passion for it. Her lifetime goal is to one day own her own youth sports league. Following her passion, she recently began working with the Competitive Sports & Camps areas of Campus Recreation Services. Jessica started working with CSU Campus Recreation Services in 2012 as a Rec Attendant for the facility. Over the next few years, she worked her way up through the ranks of Customer Service Assistant, Membership Rep, and Facility Manager before taking on her current role as an Office Manager for the department. Natalie began working for CSU Campus Recreation Services in 2012 as a Recreation Attendant and moved up to Membership and Guest Services over her time here. She currently works as one of the Office Managers and Pink Gloves Boxing instructors for the Recreation Center. Natalie is pursuing her Bachelor of Music degree in Music Therapy and will start her internship with Hospice of the Western Reserve in January 2017. In her free time, Natalie enjoys playing music, being outdoors, staying active, and spending time with friends and family.
