Greg Ross

Greg Ross has been with the Rec Center since its grand opening. He left Kent State in 2006 to work as the Director of Campus Recreation Services at CSU. Under his leadership, the Rec has increased in attendance each year and expanded its equipment and program offerings. Greg hopes to continue to meet the needs of CSU students and grow the facility every year. He believes the Recreation Department has been key to the advancement and growth of campus, and thinks the facility plays an important role in recruiting new students. When he's not in his office, Greg can be seen shooting hoops on one of the basketball courts or cheering on the Vikings, Buckeyes, Cavs, Indians, and Browns.
Nick Froelich

Nick Froelich is quite familiar with Recreation Services – it has given him the opportunity to travel around the country and develop his skills in various positions. But when an opportunity arose in Cleveland, he took it as a chance to come back home to Ohio. Nick currently works as the Associate Director of Facilities and Operations at the Recreation Center. The position allows him to work on a college campus and interact with students on a daily basis. He views the Recreation Center as part of the growth and development of downtown Cleveland, and likes that the facility is open to both students and the greater community. When he's not at work, you can find Nick rooting on most Cleveland sports teams, traveling or playing golf.
Kim Rottet

Kim Rottet is brand new to Ohio -- and to the Recreation Center. Kim has worked in a variety of Recreation Services positions around the country and is currently the Associate Director of Programs at the CSU Recreation Center. Her favorite part of her job is being able to teach students and watch them learn outside of the classroom. She views the Recreation Center as an all-inclusive facility that promotes the development of students. When she's not at work, she enjoys reading and learning to be a skilled cook. Even though she's allergic to almost everything outdoors, Kim also enjoys hiking, bike riding and being outside as much as possible.
Joe Stolitza
Business Manager

Joe Stolitza has been working at the Recreation Center almost since its opening. He was hired as Business Manager six months after the facility opened. Joe – who is often called Joe Money – handles all the financial and human resources aspects of the Recreation Center. He enjoys working on the variety of tasks his job brings and hopes to put in place solid business practices to meet the changing dynamics of the facility. One of his favorite parts of working here is watching how the Recreation Center constantly updates itself and tries to be current with new fitness and wellness trends. Joe enjoys golfing and cycling in his spare time.

Scott Westhoven never imagined that he would end up in Campus Recreation. Scott studied Fine Arts during his undergraduate career and worked as a lifeguard on the side. Eventually he began to attend NIRSA conferences and realized that Campus Recreation could become a potential career. As he was preparing to move back to Ohio, he met Greg Ross, the director of the CSU Recreation Center, at a conference and Greg invited Scott to apply for a swim coordinator position at the Recreation Center. Now working as the Marketing and Technology Coordinator, Scott's favorite part of his job is exploring various marketing techniques and working alongside students. He hopes to establish a clear identity of Campus Recreation at CSU and wants to continue to create quality marketing campaigns. In his free time Scott enjoys photography, playing water polo, hiking, traveling and spending time with his family.
John Krehnovi
Competitive Sports and Camps Coordinator

John Kehnovi first became interested in Campus Recreation when he took a basketball officiating course at Ohio State University. He realized that he wanted to pursue this field as a career and quickly switched majors. Over the years he has worked in a variety of recreation fields, including positions in Macedonia, Broadview Heights and at Kent State University. John currently works as the Competitive Sports and Camps Coordinator at the CSU Recreation Center. He enjoys the flexibility of his position and the ability to take on a number of projects. His goal is to make intramurals a fun and engaging experience for all the teams involved, and to make the summer camp program one of the best summer camps in the area. John says he feels very connected to everybody here at the Recreation Center and he enjoys being involved with all the staff and members. He has a wide variety of hobbies, including golfing, skiing, snowboarding, exploring alternative health options and attending plays at the theater.
Katie Robinson
Member & Guest Services Coordinator

Katie Robinson has advanced her way through the Recreation Center. In 2009 she began as a Marketing intern and quickly worked her way up to the position of Graduate Supervisor of Member & Guest Services. More recently, Katie has taken on the role of Member & Guest Services Coordinator. She loves working with her student staff and watching them grow and excel in their various positions. She hopes to continue to improve training programs and develop a strong staff dynamic. As a certified volleyball official for OHSAA and USAV, Katie enjoys officiating as well as competing in sand volleyball and indoor volleyball leagues in her spare time. She also finds time to support local artists by attending Cleveland art shows.
Mike Weaver

When the position of Facilities Coordinator opened up at the Recreation Center, Mike Weaver jumped on the opportunity. After working as a Graduate Supervisor of Facilities for two years, he was excited to move up into this new position. His goal is to expand the Adventure Rec program by creating more trips, as well as possibly one day getting a rock wall built inside the facility. When he's not at the office, Mike is active in a variety of sports and bowls competitively.
Brian Boesch
Building Maintenance Manager

Brian Boesch is one of the first people to arrive at the Recreation Center every morning. As Building Maintenance Manager, Brian arrives before sunrise to ensure the facility is up and running before it opens each day. With more than 30 years experience in the maintenance industry, Brian is very skilled at his job. His favorite part of working at the Recreation Center is working with the young student staff. He enjoys training and teaching the staff new things that they may not learn elsewhere. Brian believes the facility has a progressed a lot in the past two years, and he would like to see the Recreation Center continue to bring in good quality staff members who are eager to learn and work. Brian also works for the Lake Erie Monsters and attends many hockey games in his spare time.

Emily Billak started out as an intern at the Recreation Center two years ago in order to graduate from Kent State University. As an intern, she handled a lot of the different aspects of fitness and wellness at the facility. When a Graduate Supervisor position for Fitness & Wellness opened up, she applied and received the position. Emily's favorite part of her job is helping to plan various fitness and wellness events on campus. She hopes to continue to improve programs and update equipment in the facility's fitness studios. Emily views the Recreation Center as a place that works to better people, and she says it's a good feeling for her to be able to help other people. Emily also works at the Recreation Center as a personal trainer, but when she has free time she enjoys watching movies and working out.

Justin Porter has been a part of the Recreation Center throughout his college career. Starting out as a Rec Attendant his freshman year, Justin transitioned into personal training and teaching fitness classes, and now works as the Graduate Supervisor of Wellness. He enjoys the flexibility and freedom his position provides him, and the fact that he's not stuck inside a cubicle all day. His goal is to develop more opportunities for underclassmen who are interested in becoming involved with Campus Recreation. Justin thinks the Recreation Center is a youthful environment, especially when it comes to the professional staff, which keeps the atmosphere fun instead of overbearing. Although he's normally pretty busy at work, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends in his spare time.

Julianne Petricini transitioned to the Recreation Center after working at Kent State's Rec Center for four years. Now working as the Graduate Supervisor of Membership & Guest Services, Julianne hopes to pursue Campus Recreation as a lifelong career. She enjoys working with college students and hopes to encourage others to look into a career in Campus Recreation. Julianne believes the Recreation Center fosters a great experience and all of the employees are very connected and work well together. She describes herself as having a spicy personality, but she's also very dedicated to her job. In her free time, Julianne enjoys reading, watching TV and spending time outdoors.
Jason Mandula

Jason Mandula began his career at the Recreation Center as a Rec Attendant. During his two years here, he quickly moved up into a Membership Representative position and now works as the Graduate Supervisor of Marketing & Membership. His favorite part of his job is interacting with patrons and getting to know them on a personal level. Jason's goal is to improve inventory in the Pro Shop to cater to patrons' needs, as well as streamline processes at the front desk for members. He views the Recreation Center as an open and cohesive environment that allows all the employees to work together. Jason is an avid cook and also enjoys playing cards, reading and participating in sports.
Diana Mruk
Graduate Supervisor - Aquatics

Diana Mruk first became involved at the Recreation Center when she was part of the swim team in 2007. She then transitioned into a lifeguard and now works as the Graduate Supervisor of Aquatics. Diana enjoys the flexibility of her schedule and hopes to gain enough experience to someday work as an Aquatic Coordinator. She believes the Aquatics department is becoming more involved with the rest of the Recreation Center and likes observing how the different departments operate. As an earnest swimmer, Diana coaches two swim teams in her free time.

Rachel Hartman is no stranger to Campus Recreation. Originally from Atlanta, Rachel spent three years at Mercer University then transferred her senior year to Georgia State University where she became involved with intramurals. Rachel realized that she wanted to make a career out of Campus Recreation, and was soon offered a job at the CSU Recreation Center. Working as the Graduate Supervisor of Competitive Sports and Camps, she hopes to get sports clubs permanent funding and set a higher level of expectation for intramurals. Rachel's favorite part of her job is working with students every day and seeing her work make an immediate impact on them. She views the Recreation Center as her "home away from home" and likes that it's a tight-knit community. When she's not working, Rachel plays on the Rec's club volleyball team and sings for the CSU Chorus.

Kyle Buchanan currently works as the Graduate Supervisor of Facilities. After receiving his undergraduate degree from Ashland, Kyle was looking for a graduate assistant position and ultimately chose CSU. He enjoys getting to work inside the facility each day and putting his knowledge to use (plus the chance to work with Mike Weaver, the Facilities Coordinator). Kyle hopes to continue to improve the facility and one day have a rock wall built inside the Recreation Center. In his free time, Kyle coaches the CSU rugby team and plays in a rugby men's club.
Amy Breslin

Amy Breslin is the newest Office Manager at the Recreation Center. Amy began working at the Recreation Center in 2012 as a Swim Instructor. Although she now works in the office, Amy is still very passionate about the Learn to Swim program and hopes to increase enrollment and retention rates for the program. Amy received a bachelor's degree in Biology from Ashland University, but decided to make a switch to Campus Recreation. She believes the CSU Recreation Center is one of the best-managed facilities in the area, and she enjoys working alongside all her co-workers. Amy is a new mother and spends a majority of her time with her family. When she gets a few moments of free time, she enjoys photography and scuba diving.
Dynesha Stover-Mcdonald

Since 2009, Dynesha Stover-McDonald has taken on a variety of roles at the Recreation Center. Dynesha first started out as a Rec Attendant and was quickly promoted to Membership. In 2011 she became a Facility Manager and now works as one of the two Office Managers. Her favorite part of working at the Recreation Center is the number of networking opportunities available with the various community members that workout at the facility. Dynesha is also in grad school studying Adult Learning and Development, and she hopes to one day work in career placement. Her goal for the Recreation Center is for the student staff to become more involved, such as participating in intramurals or attending events held at the facility. When she's not at work, Dynesha enjoys spending time with her niece, cooking and shopping.
