Any faculty, staff or student who wishes to appeal a citation must submit a Parking Appeal Form or letter to the Parking & Transportation Services office within seven (7) calendar days of issuance. Any visitor who wishes to appeal a citation must submit a Parking Appeal Form or letter to the Parking & Transportation Services office within fourteen (14) calendar days of issuance. Appeal forms are available in the Parking & Transportation Services office or can be downloaded parking appeal form.Submissions can be dropped off, mailed or emailed ( to parking@csuohio.edu).

Citations must be paid in full for submission of appeals outside the grace period of seven or fourteen days.

The Director of Parking & Transportation Services reviews all appeals. The Director has the authority to act upon an appeal based upon the written statements submitted or to refer the appeal to Parking Appeals Committee, which may incorporate a personal appearance by the individual, upon request, and/or further investigation into its proceedings.

A decision will be issued within 30 calendar of the date appeal was submitted. Decisions will be sent via electronic mail to the email address provided on the appeal form.

The Parking Appeals Committee serves as the appellate if an individual requests further review under the following conditions: the existence of new information not available at the time of the Director’s review. The Assistant Vice President for Campus Support Services serves as the appellate to the Committee if an individual requests further review under the following conditions: an alleged failure to follow established policies and procedures and/or an alleged failure to meet a general standard of fairness. A request for further review must be submitted in writing to the Parking & Transportation Services office within 10 calendar days of the date the original decision letter was sent electronically.

• One Staff member & an alternate
• Director of Parking & Transportation Services or a designee (ex-officio)
