A growing body of literature emphasizes the link between health, well-being, and engagement in meaningful creative activities. Such activities provide an opportunity for individuals to maintain their identities, enhance self-esteem, manage stress, and regain strength and mobility subsequent to disabling illness (c.f. Bissell & Mallioux, 1981; Mee, Sumison, & Craik, 2004; Reynolds, 2003; Reynolds & Prior, 2003; among many others).
This site includes a report on the 2008 workshop, a bibliography page, a page for upcoming events, pictures from previous workshops, and a page listing community resources. We invite you to provide additional information for any of these pages.
