On May 16 and 17, 2008 called Design a Life: A Community of Ideas occurred. Designed to kick-off a variety of community activities promoting the importance of creativity in the lives of our citizens.
The conference was a great success. More than 150 attendees had an opportunity to experience creative occupations, and to hear from prominent theorists, professionals, and from consumers of care about the meaning of creativity. You can see some of the activities that were part of the event on the “photos” page of this site. Participants wanted to continue to explore creativity, and this website is one outgrowth of that wish.

In addition, you can find videos of the various panels, including one focused on creativity in community health settings, another on inpatient settings, and another on strategies for artists to incorporate wellness into their community programs. Finally, a panel of consumers describe the meanings of creativity in their efforts to improve their health.
