    Requirements for Psi Chi membership at CSU:

  • Completion of at least 3 semesters of college courses.
  • Completion of 9 semester hours of psychology courses.
  • Registration for major or minor standings in psychology.
  • Undergraduates who are elected to Psi Chi must rank in the upper 35% of their class in general     scholarship and have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher.
  • For graduate students, an average grade of “B” or better in all courses, including psychology.
  • High standards of personal behavior.
  • Two-thirds affirmative vote of those present at a regular meeting of the chapter.

    To join the nation’s largest honor society and expand your career and graduate school options membership applications can be downloaded or picked up outside of the Psi Chi office in CB 179. Return completed applications to the CB179. Both the top and bottom registration cards on the last page of the application packet must be filled out. There is a one time membership fee of $50.00. Once you are inducted into Psi Chi, you are a member for life.

    The Department is one of the few at CSU that offers a major that can be obtained by taking all coursework in psychology in the evening.
