Psi Chi

Psi Chi is the National Honor Society in Psychology, founded in 1929 for the purposes of encouraging, stimulating, and maintaining excellence in scholarship, and advancing the science of psychology. Membership is open to graduate and undergraduate men and women with a declared psychology major or minor and a grade point average (GPA) of 3.2 or better. Psi Chi is a member of the Association of College Honor Societies and is an affiliate of the American Psychological Association (APA) and the American Psychological Society (APS).

Cleveland State University is part of Psi Chiís family of 1400 campuses across the United States. Psi Chi has more chapters than any other honor society in baccalaureate institutions and has the largest membership of any psychological organization in the world.

The Department is one of the few at CSU that offers a major that can be obtained by taking all coursework in psychology in the evening. Psi Chi at Cleveland State focuses on 3 major principals:

Members can apply for 95 different research awards, numerous grants, and attend regional and national conference programs.
