The College of Sciences and Health Professions invites submission of abstracts for the Research Day poster session from all students and faculty on current research, teaching, and service topics. |

| SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS:
NOTE: the printer will be loaded with bond (not glossy) paper for Research Day posters. If anyone wants to use his or her poster at a conference after Research Day (when you may receive useful feedback), it may be printed on glossy paper later. Submit an abstract electronically as an attached file to coshp@csuohio.edu using the format below. In the email subject line, indicate: ‘COSHP Poster Abstract’ followed by the first author’s last name, department (e.g., COSHP Poster Abstract – Graf, PSY). The deadline for submitting abstracts is 8:00 am Monday, April 1, 2013. Submitting authors will be contacted by email after submissions have been received. Not following these instructions will result in the return of your abstract for reformatting SAMPLE ABSTRACT: VALIDATION OF THE SDS-17 MEASURE OF SOCIAL Allyson S. Graf, B.A.1, Brian F. Blake, Ph.D.1, Jillian Hughes, M.A. 2, Kimberly A. Neuendorf, Ph.D.3 In Germany, Stober and Colleagues (1999, 2001) presented evidence for the validity of the SDS-17, a new measure of “social desirability bias,” i.e. distorted self report of responses that present oneself in a socially attractive manner. Measures of the magnitude of this bias may be dependent upon the cultural surrounding, however. Three experiments (n=800) assessed the SDS-17’s validity in the USA environment. | POSTER REQUIREMENTS AND PRINTING GUIDELINES:
College of Sciences and Health Professions Research Day participants are welcome to print their posters on the large format printer located in the Department of Biological, Geological & Environmental Sciences, Science Research Room G-76 (SR G-76). There will be a sign-up sheet outside the lab for poster printing in the two weeks before Research Day: Monday, April 1 - Thursday, April 11. Please sign up early and plan to print your posters early. You can always print before April 1, but sign-up is required the two weeks prior to the event. Please follow these guidelines for poster printing in SR G-76:
