PROGRAM ADMISSIONS
The courses listed on the Prerequisites Table fulfill the prerequisites set forth by the Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED). Completion of the prerequisite courses is required for acceptance into the NEOMED Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) program, which is administered on the NEOMED campus is Rootstown, Ohio. Other admissions requirements are as follows:
In addition to the parameters listed above, NEOMED is looking for candidates who display a high degree of interest in the profession of pharmacy, as indicated by their extracurricular activities. In addition, candidates who display maturity, leadership skills and abilities, community service and volunteer activities, and work experiences (especially pharmacy or health-related work or professional shadowing experiences) are also highly desirable.
Applications to NEOMED are processed via the Pharmacy College Applications Service (PharmCAS).
Students are encouraged to submit their application to NEOMED approximately one year prior to when they plan to enter the PharmD program. Specifically, students should apply by September 1 for the Early Decision process and October 1 for Partnership status. All Applications can be submitted without official PCAT scores and while courses are still in progress.

NEOMED's College of Pharmacy was awarded Full Accreditation Status by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) at its June 2011 meeting of the ACPE Board of Directors based upon a comprehensive on-site evaluation conducted April 5-7, 2011, and discussion with college and institutional officials.
