Kathleen McNamara HeadshotAs you may have heard, Dr. Richard Rakos, COSHP Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs, will be retiring, after 37 years of outstanding service to CSU.

A Search Committee chaired by Dr. Michael Gates worked diligently to search for a new COSHP Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs. We were delighted to receive applications from five highly competitive candidates. I would like to sincerely thank each of the candidates for his/her participation in the search process.

Dr. McNamara was also recently appointed as Chair of the National Association of School Psychologists Association Research Committee, and received the National Association of School Psychologists Presidential Award in 2015.

Dr. Michael Horvath has graciously agreed to take over the reins as Interim Chair of Psychology from February 1 – June 30, 2016.  Dr. Fred Smith will be appointed Interim Chair of Psychology beginning July 1, 2016.
