Urban Health Fellows

The Urban Health Fellows Program is designed for incoming freshmen and sophomores at Cleveland State University interested in pursuing careers in a health care field. This program is open to students interested in any of the wide range of health professional careers, including medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech and hearing, physician assisting, nursing, etc.

The goal of the program is to help students develop the skills that will enable them to be successful in being accepted to a health professional program.

Students will be provided with opportunities to attend special workshops and seminars hosted by faculty and professional health care providers, participate in service learning activities, and other health-related programming designed to help them become familiar with the range of professions from which they might choose. They will also be provided with opportutnities that will help them acquire the academic and personal attributes that are required for success in health professional education.
