Vision Statement

The Diversity Management Program is the premiere institution for the Master’s level study and advancement of Diversity, Inclusion and related organizational leadership disciplines.

Mission Statement

The objectives of the Diversity Management Program are to cultivate effective 21st century leaders by raise participant awareness, build skills and abilities for practice in the following areas:

  • effective interpersonal communication in a diverse setting
  • understanding and valuing diversity
  • facilitation within diverse groups
  • facilitation between diverse groups and advanced training in designing diversity interventions for organizations

The program provides participants with the following personal and professional diversity competencies and skill sets:

  • self-education
  • cultural-specific discernment skills
  • change leadership skills
  • collaborative learning
  • creative management of differences
  • change agency: use of the self as a tool for change
  • conflict and collaborative problem-solving skills
  • effective communication across differences
