Professionals who can effectively manage the differences in their workforce, customers or community can greatly improve productivity, redefine markets and increase success. More and more, managers are asked to lead organizational change while meeting the multiple challenges of a diverse workforce in a world gone global.
To help professionals acquire these skills, Cleveland State University offers a master’s degree in Diversity Management (DMP). Working with experienced faculty and top professionals, participants gain the skills to manage change, solve problems and meet the challenges presented by diverse employees, clients and markets.

The intense curriculum delivers cutting-edge leadership skills and up-to-date diversity and inclusion knowledge to busy managers.
A background in business, human resources, psychology, adult training, communication, organizational development, and/or education provides an excellent base for the specialized training provided by the Diversity Management Program. Classes begin each fall semester. Students are together through the program in cohort-based learning communities.

The Diversity Management Program (DMP) offers you, the mid-career professional, the opportunity to integrate cutting-edge diversity and inclusion knowledge with skill-focused applications in an environment that fosters courageous conversations and safe experimentation. Graduates of this distinctive program increase their ability to foster organizational success and excellence. They learn how to lead diverse people in a complex global environment.
Especially geared to the needs of adult learners, this program includes classroom instruction, online learning modules and practical application. Participants will learn the essentials of group dynamics, group facilitation, organizational diagnosis, change and assessment. Additionally, we focus on developing your leadership skills and each program participant receives a leadership coach for the first year of the program.
