The Math Corps at CSU

The Math Corps at CSU is inspired by the successful 20-year-old Math Corps program at Wayne State University. It is based on the dream of creating a self-perpetuating “corps” of students from middle school through college. Students excel academically, hold values that breed success in general, and, through strong mentoring relationships, pass their knowledge and their values on to younger students, who in turn do the same.

The Math Corps at Cleveland State University is now accepting applications for its four-week Summer Camp at Cleveland State University’s main campus.  All students in the greater Cleveland area who will be entering 7th and 8th grades in the fall of 2013 are eligible to apply for this tuition-free program.  Students entering grades 10 through 12 can apply to be paid Teacher Assistants as part of the High School Bridge Program.  The programs are designed to provide students with both basic and advanced mathematics in a dynamic, fun, college environment.  Take an application form today and share this information with interested family and friends! Applications are due Friday, June 7, 2013 at 5:00 pm. For more information contact Professor Carol Phillips-Bey, Director at 216-523-7151 or c.phillips-bey@csuohio.edu
