In addition to meeting Graduate College requirements for the master’s degree, MS degree candidates must earn 32 credit hours distributed as follows:
Required Introductory Course (4 credits)
MTH 514 Linear Algebra and Functions of Several Variables
Sequence Courses (16 credits)
Four courses (including one complete
sequence) from the following:
MTH 525-MTH 626 Mathematical Methods in Engineering and Science
MTH 537-MTH 638 Operations Research
MTH 567-MTH 668 Probability and Statistics
MTH 577-MTH 678 Numerical Methods
Electives (12 credits)
Approved mathematics courses at or above the 500-level.
Up to eight credits of approved courses at or above the 400-level, offered by other departments.
