The Occupational Therapy Program at Cleveland State University is proud to present the professional program outcomes for graduating classes of 2007, 2008, 2009.

Pass Rates for National Board of Certification of Occupational Therapist Exam

* this percentage is based on actual reporting- no graduates who replied to our inquiry reported being unemployed- 100% of alumni contacted reported working in OT  18% did not respond to mail or telephone inquiries)

Note that retention rate for this time period (percentage of students who started the program and who graduated and completed fieldwork) is 97%; Two students dropped out of the Program, and one failed fieldwork over this time period.

Some students in this cohort are part time students who take an additional year to complete the program. For example, 3 students who started with the class of 2008, eventually finished with the class of 2009, and one student who started with the class of 2009 will finish with the class of 2010.  For these students pass rates were calculated based on the year the student actually graduated.

Note that 2 students’ exam results are unaccounted for in the class of 2009- Either they did not take the exam yet, or they have not successfully passed it.  We are only notified when students have received passing scores by the Certification Board (NBCOT)

National pass rate on NBCOT exam for 2010 is 82%
