The Edward J. Petrick Endowed Scholarship for Gerontological Studies

Purpose:
The Edward J. Petrick Endowed Scholarship for Gerontological Studies is established at the Cleveland State University Foundation to assist students studying Gerontology at Cleveland State University.

Guidelines:
An approximate award of $500 will be awarded each academic year to a student at Cleveland State University with priority to Junior level students taking classes in the Gerontological Studies Program.  Recipients will be selected based on: academic achievement  (G.P.A. of 3.0 or higher),  financial need (as determined by the Office of Financial Aid), based on your Free Application for Federal Student Aid, (FAFSA), form must be on file, and submission of a short essay of 500 words, titled How will I use my Gerontology Certificate .

Please return both the completed application and the essay to Denise Price in the Dean’s Office, College Science (SR 353) by February 16th.  The recipient will be selected by the Gerontology Faculty and Advisory Committee and be notified in early spring.  The award will be applied to the student’s account in following academic year.
