For NCW 2010, the Cleveland Section will be hosting Chemistry Contests and a Poster Contest on the theme
"Behind the Scenes with Chemistry ".  Please follow the following links for more information on each contest:

Individual entries are welcome! Get a parent or guardian to help submit your entry.
Teachers! You may submit all individual student entries together to ease costs of mailing.

Local winners are invited to the April 2011 Cleveland ACS Awards Dinner where they receive certificates and a prize.
Winning posters are submitted for National competition for additional prizes.
In the past five years, we've had TWO NATIONAL CONTEST WINNERS!
In 2008, Maureen Rakovec received a cash prize for her hard work.
In 2009, Austin Gilner was also a national prize winner.

Chemistry Contests

Grades K-4, 5-8, and 9-12

For teachers: Alignment of contests to Ohio k-12 science standards

Students who attend school (or are home-schooled) in the geographic area of the Cleveland Section of the ACS (Cuyahoga, Erie, Geauga, Huron, Lorain, and Medina counties) are eligible to enter.
