One-hour Hands-on Chemistry Program

"It's Elementary"

Come and help solve a Chemisty Mystery!

For children ages 7-11
30 participants/location
Dates: during NCW
Where: Local Cuyahoga County Public Libraries and other libraries

  Rules & Information

Children! Individual entries are welcome. Get a parent or guardian to help submit your entry.
Teachers! You may submit all individual student entries together to ease costs of mailing.

Small gift for each entry.
Winners are invited to the April 2010 Cleveland ACS Awards Dinner where they receive certificates and a prize.
Winning posters are submitted for National competition for additional prizes.

Last year we had a NATIONAL CONTEST WINNER!
Maureen Rakovec, Incarnate Word Academy, Parma Heights (teacher: Cindy Rossman) received a $250 check as a prize for her hard work. Congrats' again, Maureen!

CRCST Fall Conference

October 24, 2009
  - ~7am-12:40pm at the Dolan Science and Technology Center at John Carroll University

The first 40 teachers (at least) to participate in our programs receivee a hands-on demonstration kit with materials for 6 experiments for up to 30 students. This year's program is described above.
Our script (link on right) provides all information needed from set-up to clean-up, including information on how to remake the kit for future use.
