This year, the Cleveland Section will be hosting Chemistry Contests and a Poster Contest on the theme "Your home - it's all built on chemistry".  Please follow the following links for more information on each contest:

"Do Your Flowers Eat Vegetables?" - Grades K-5

“IF YOU HAVE RUST, YOUR HOUSE MAY BUST” RUST NEVER SLEEPS!
Grades 6-8 and Grades 9-12

 

Poster Contest

Grades K-2, 3-4, 5-8, and 9-12

Kindergarten - 12th grade. Students are invited to create a poster that
will serve as a public service announcement emphasizing the role of
science/chemistry in the home and/or home safety improvements over the years for their peers or other age group.

 

Students who attend school (or are home-schooled) in the geographic area of the Cleveland Section of the ACS (Cuyahoga, Erie, Geauga, Huron, Lorain, and Medina counties) are eligible to enter.

 

Contest entries must be postmarked by Friday, November 3, 2006.  Please see individual contest rules for additional instructions.
