MEET the GSIRC! The Graduate Grant Writing Center is pleased to announce that on Tuesday, January 24th , GGWC will offer a very special networking opportunity for undergraduate and graduate students to meet the members of the Graduate Student Interdisciplinary Research Club (GSIRC). Students are welcome to meet with GSIRC and GGWC staff to talk about research projects and partnerships with members of the GSIRC and student researchers in other disciplines. We will meet at the Grad Grant Writing Center, PHH 300 from 2:30PM - 3:30PM. The Graduate Student Interdisciplinary Research Club (GSIRC) is a graduate student organization of the College of Science and Health Professions. GSIRC provides students with a forum where they can share research findings with others and foster a better understanding of the unique aspects of interdisciplinary research that involves science, engineering, and other disciplines, not usually considered as partners to these two fields. GSIRC hosts and participates in technical symposia and other scientific expositions within Cleveland State University and other academic institutions. Its main goal is to promote and provide an academic and social arena for students of all fields to compare findings, and discuss academic issues in an informal, relaxed forum. You can read more at the GSIRC website: http://www.csuohio.edu/sciences/dept/chemistry/gsirc/index.html Come and chat. Meet and share your discoveries, theories, and ideas with you fellow students. Create cross-disciplinary partnerships and discover new friends and colleagues. In addition to talking about research and forming new partnerships, those who attend this event will have an opportunity to learn about the Annual G-SIRC Interdisciplinary Research Conference as well ( http://www.csuohio.edu/sciences/dept/chemistry/gsirc/abstrac ts.html). Please register for this event by sending an email to graduategrant@csuohio.edu . Include your name and the name of the event: “Meet the GSIRC”. |
