Let's Grow: A Little Green Goes A Long Way
In a class discussion last fall, Erin Huber and LeeAnn Westfall learned that a 7,000-square-foot roof top garden was initially supposed to be installed on CSU’s newly built, LEED-Certified Recreation Center, but three year later, the roof remained bare.
Building a strong future for Cleveland State University is a main goal for Huber and Westfall, so they knew what had to be done. They already have blueprints, growing plants, supporting foundations, and some money in the bank..but they need your help to finish the job!
President Schwartz had offered to match 100% of the money raised from faculty, alumni, and students in a class match gift of 2009.
So, we are calling out to EVERYONE ON CAMPUS and COMMUNITY-WIDE to help start a tradition at Cleveland State and provide a space to better our environment, to learn in, and to have some fun!
…This is their passion. This is their vision. This is the NEW CSU, and these energetic women want to make it greener, cleaner, and more sustainable than ever.
Students: Give $25 or whatever you can
Faculty: Since you’ll be here longer, start at the $50 donation mark
Alumni: Help start a tradition at CSU with $50
Please help support this project as each dollar will be matched by President Schwartz. 100% tax deductible donations can be mailed to:
