Ohio's Concealed Carry Law is now in effect. The law allows qualified citizens to carry concealed weapons, but only if certain strict conditions are met.
The new law does NOT allow concealed weapons to be carried anywhere on the premises of a university, including Cleveland State University, unless the weapon is locked in an automobile or in the process of being locked in a motor vehicle. This prohibition against carrying concealed weapons also applies to all areas of the Keith Building leased by the University.
Signs will be posted on University buildings and on appropriate floors of the Keith Building clearly indicating that "it is illegal to carry a firearm, deadly weapon, or dangerous ordinance anywhere on these premises."
