The misuse of alcohol detracts from the mission of higher education and adversely affects the conduct, academic performance, health, and safety of students. Alcohol on college campuses is a factor in 40 percent of all academic problems and 28 percent of all dropouts. Information about Cleveland State University's Drug Abuse Prevention Program is distributed to all CSU students and employees, as required by the Federal Drug-Free School and Communities Act Amendments of 1989.
