Using PeopleSoft for Course Scheduling

Classroom or Self-Study

Exercise: Successful completion of an exercise is required for final approval to PeopleSoft for course scheduling. You may either take a self-study course or attend classroom training to prepare for the exercise.

Explanation of Course Scheduling: When students search online for available classes, they are searching the course schedule. The course schedule is built each semester, and each offering/section is checked and changed as needed to add or delete offerings, update instructors, days/times, course titles, etc.

Prerequisites:

Objectives:
At the end of this course, you will be able to:
1. Use the rollover Course Schedule to identify changes
2. Add new offerings and courses during both initial scheduling and update periods
3. Make changes to offerings during both initial scheduling and update periods
4. Delete offerings during both initial scheduling and update periods
3. Use the course scheduling manual for reference

Length of this Course:
This course is approximately two (2) hours.

As an alternative to taking this course, you can
1. take just the exercise
2. request copies of the self-study & course materials then take the exercise
