In May, Information Service & Technology will be upgrading the university eMail system . This upgrade is necessary to keep our system in supported compliance. upgrade provides some new features such as:
• Webmail now has the same capabilities and features as desktop mail.
• The Mail inbox's user interface has been extensively redesigned with a navigator.
• The Calendar application has been redesigned

Informal drop in sessions will be held for Faculty and Staff to get a preview of the new system and to ask any specific questions they may have. We strongly encourage you to review the online training materials first.

FAQ
Q Do I still have to use Desktop Mail?
A No. The new Webmail application now has a lot of the same features as Desktop Mail that most users need.
Q Will my password change?
A No. When we upgrade the eMail system, your password will remain the same.
Q Will the URL I use to access Webmail change?
A No. You will still be able to go to the same URL that you do today (https://webmail.csuohio.edu).
Q I have my CSU eMail account forwarded. Will this upgrade affect this?
A No. Mail forwarding will continue to work as normal.
Q Will my access to Desktop Mail change?
A Yes. You will receive an email for the Email Administrator after the upgrade that will give instructions on how to upgrade your Desktop Mail client. However your old client will continue to work.
Q Will I lose any of my mail or calendar events?
A No. All mail and calendar events will remain intact.
Q Will I be able to get eMail during the upgrade?
A Yes, eMail will continue to come into the university and will be delivered to your mailbox when the system becomes available.
