Make sure your wireless card is enabled. You can check this by finding the network connection properties. You can enable the card by right clicking the wireless network icon. You should also check to see if your laptop has a manual wireless switch and make sure it is not turned off.
Double-check all your connection properties. Refer to the wireless documentation for details: Vista, XP, OS X, PocketPC.
An internal or external (add-on) 802.11a/b/g wireless adapter that is Wi-Fi certified for WPA Enterprise. 802.11a and/or g are recommended.
A machine running Windows XP, Windows Vista, or Apple OS X.
All you need is your CSU ID and password. Wireless access is free for all faculty, staff, and students.

o Right-click on the wireless network icon on the lower right corner of the taskbar.
Mac:
o Click on the wireless network icon on the top right corner of the screen. Then click "Open Internet Connect".
Most new laptops have internal wireless adapters but if you need to add one look for an adapter that is Wi-Fi certified for WPA Enterprise.

Yes you can, but since there are many wireless card vendors and different utilities for each, IS&T cannot provide detailed instructions for setup.
You will usually need the following information when configuring an application:
o SSID: 4csuuseonly
o Username: Your CSU ID
o Password: Your campuspass
o Network Authentication: WPA Enterprise
o Data Encryption: TKIP
o Authentication Type: EAP-FAST or PEAP
o When using PEAP and validating certificates, trust certificates for acs-wow.csuohio.edu and acs-backup.csuohio.edu, or trust any certificate ending in csuohio.edu
o You may also need various drivers installed for third party software
If Service Pack 2 for Windows XP is installed, you will require a hotfix from Microsoft as discussed in KB885453
