Study Abroad Programs

CSU Faculty Led Short Programs
CSU faculty members take students on academic trips during breaks or the summer. Cleveland State sponsors 8 to 10 programs each year in countries such as Chile, Costa Rica, England, France, Germany, India, Mexico and Spain. Follow this link for an up to date list of program offerings. Typical program length: 10 days to 5 weeks.

Semester / Year Long Programs
Study abroad for a semester or year allows students to immerse themselves in the local academic and cultural environment for an extended period of time. Plus, financial aid can travel with you. Students earn between 12- 16 credits each semester. All CSU exchange programs last one semester. Explore the endless opportunities to engage the world.

Summer Programs
Study abroad in the summer allows students the chance to travel abroad for a shorter length of time and still earn academic credit. Typical program lengths are 4 weeks in duration. Careful budgeting throughout the previous academic year ensures that students have leftover financial aid to be use towards summer study abroad.

Honors Options Abroad
The CSU Honors' College encourages all qualified students to pursue educational opportunities abroad. These can take many forms and may include honors courses which fulfill CSU degree requirements. We have complied a list of honors study abroad programs and will add to the page as more become known to us.

National Student Exchange
NSE gives you an opportunity to experience a different area of the country with its unique cultural and academic opportunities. Since NSE's beginning in 1968, more than 90,000 students have participated in the program including many from our own campus. Partners include Canadian and Puerto Rican universities.
