A program of the Nance College of Business, this study abroad experience provides students with hands-on research skills, travel, and contact with many sectors of the British business community.
During the spring semester, teams of students prepare research proposals at CSU. Students then spend 9 days in England during the spring semester/ first summer session break conducting research and interviews with British agencies, organizations, and businesses.
Students and faculty in the School of Business and Management at BUCKS New University will host the CSU group.
Graduate students should register for MKT 640: Field Experience Abroad. Undergraduate students should enroll in MKT 440: Field Experience Abroad. Both classes are 4-credit hour courses offered during the first 6-week summer session.
During the spring semester, students form research teams, design research projects, write research proposals, conduct background research, and identify British organizations and target segments to interview.
While in England, Dr. Whipple, director of the program, conducts orientation sessions with the students and supervises their research. Completed group reports are submitted at the end of the first 6-week summer session.
