CSU offers an intensive ESL Program that serves both undergraduate and graduate students for who English is not their first language. It consists of placement evaluation and courses. CSU offers temporary housing for up to 5 days for free of charge; however a form must be filled out and returned to CISP at least 2 business days prior your arrival. After CSU issues you an I-20 or a DS 2019, you need to present it at the US Consulate or Embassy http://usembassy.state.gov/. You must also present the original financial documents and your letter of admission. Before going to the US Embassy or Consulate you must pay the SEVIS fee by going to http://www.fmjfee.com.
The International Student Orientation is mandatory. It is scheduled about 2 weeks before the first day of classes.

You can register for classes after you check-in with the International Center (Main Classroom, Room 106) at Cleveland State University after your arrival.
You can pay your tution online through your CampusNet account or at Treasury Services located on the 1st floor of the Main Classroom Building (MC 115). More Information about fee payment will be given during orientation and Check-in.

During the summer, June through September, the weather is often hot and humid and requires lightweight clothing. The temperature ranges from 70°F (21°C) to above 90°F (above 32°C).
The winter season, late November through March is marked by sudden and extreme weather changes; several days of cold weather may be followed by days of moderate temperatures. The range in winter is between 20°F (-7°C) to 45°F (7°C), and ocassionally the temperature drops to 0°F (-18°C).
