Apply for Admission

Applications are accepted throughout the year. High School students are strongly encouraged to apply for admission as early as possible. Follow these steps to apply for admission to Cleveland State:

STEP 1

Complete Application for Undergraduate Admission
You may complete an application using one of the following methods:

STEP 2

Include Application Fee
A nonrefundable $30 application fee is required by check or money order (made payable to Cleveland State University). Students submitting an application online may pay with Visa, MasterCard or American Express.

STEP 3

Obtain Official Transcripts
A complete and official set of your secondary school records. PHOTOCOPIES ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE. All school records must be submitted in original language and should be accompanied by certified English translation, which have been attested as true copies and bear the actual signature in ink and the seal or stamp of an official translator if documents were not issued by school authorities.

STEP 4

Obtain Official English Language Results
Official English Language Results are required for admission into Cleveland State. You can request to have your test scores sent to Cleveland State directly from the testing agencies.

Obtain Official ACT or SAT Test Results (if applicable)
These are required ONLY of students that are first-year (freshman) applying to the Honor's Program, student athletes who must comply with NCAA eligibility requirements, and those who have attended a US high school or secondary school in another country that follows the US high school curriculum. If you attended a US High School, scores appearing on your official high school transcript are acceptable. You can also request to have your test scores sent to Cleveland State directly from the testing agencies

Financial Verification
All international students must show financial (tuition and living expenses) support for one academic year. Financial documentation must be presented in order for Cleveland State University to issue an I-20 or DS 2019 form. Have your sponsor complete the financial verification and submit the forms with your application materials.

STEP 6

Submit Materials and Application Fee.
