Title: Data and Information Specialist
Supervisor: Director of Health Services
Responsibilities:
- Update, maintain and improve the Center's database.
- Generate reports for the utilization of the Center
- Maintain
the department web site and add new pages when needed.
- Develop, implement and revise the Health Services Center's
software programs
- Assist the professional staff of the Health Services
Center to compile computerized monthly and annual statistics.
- Install computer hardware and software if CSU's IS &
T is unavailable.
- Provide in-service training for the Health Services Center's
staff when available.
- Pursue quality health care by applying policies, procedures
and problem solving to help improve the effectiveness and efficiency
of the Health Service Center.
- Other duties as assigned that are pertinent to data management
and development for the Health Services.
Qualifications:
- Admission to Computer and Information Science (CIS) graduate program
at Cleveland State University; preference given to first year
students who have taken CIS 610.
- Computer Literate; knowledge of Microsoft environment,
Access and Graphics software.
- Knowledge of computer hardware.
- Mature, knowledgeable and resourceful individual who
has the ability to work independently as well as a team member.
- Sincere interest in promoting quality health care and
well being.
- Knowledge of Html and Java Script.
Terms
of Employment:
- Two semesters (9 months): Fall, and Spring
- Ten hours per week (160 hrs/semester)
- Two year position available; summer student assistantship
employment available.
Remuneration:
- In accordance with the stipend schedule developed by
the College of Graduate Studies.
- Full-time, graduate, resident tuition up to 9 semester credit
hours for the Fall and Spring semesters.
