Placement Tests for Incoming Students

Most incoming freshmen will be required to take the Math Placement Test and some will option to take the English Placement Test. If a student needs assistive technology to access a computer than you will need to arrange this through the Office of Disability Services. The online version of the math test is not accessible to assistive technology like screen readers so there is an alternative version available for you to take on Blackboard from home or other formats available in our office. If you plan to come into the campus to take the English Placement Exam and wish to use assistive technology you will also need to contact our office.

To arrange to take these exams contact Jeffrey Dell at 216-687-2015 or e-mail to j.dell@csuohio.edu. You will need to be enrolled at CSU and have your CSU ID to get set up.

Visit the Counseling and Testing Center to see if you will be required to take the Placement Tests. On their webpages they have the criteria for ACT and SAT scores to enter into Math and English courses at CSU.
