Students exempted from all or part of math placement testing:
- Students with Math ACT/SAT
test scores of 16/390 or lower will be automatically placed into developmental
Math (MTH 087 or MTH 088). These students are not expected to take the
math placement tests, but they can take them if they so choose.
- Students with AP math credits and/or students
who transfer college-level (non-remedial) math credits from another
college are not required to take the math placement tests. An advisor
can assist them to determine math course(s) in which they will be eligible
to enroll.
- Students with Math ACT/SAT test scores at or
above 27/600 who don't have AP math credits and aren't transferring
college-level (non-remedial) math credits are not required to take the
first part of the placement test. They are required to take the second
part of the placement test to determine math course(s)in which they
will be eligible to enroll.
