http://www.wave.net/upg/immigration/dot%5Findex.html This electronic book provides detailed information regarding the tasks
performed, the education required, and the skills needed for more
than 12,000 occupations. The 1,300-page, 2-volume DOT, allow the user
to search through the 28,800 occupation titles, using words or numbers
that are associated with these titles. You can navigate throught the
information by clicking on group or subgroup links.. You can also
browse, copy, paste, and output information to any Windows document
or Immigration Assistant form or to a printer.
Occupational Outlook Handbook 2006-7 The Occupational Outlook Handbook is a nationally recognized source of career information, designed to provide information on topics such as the training and education needed to qualify for an occupation, earnings, expected job prospects, typical tasks that workers do on the job, and working conditions. The Handbook is revised every two years.
http://www.netlibrary.com/Search/BasicSearch.aspx Provides descriptions of skills, abilities, academic and physical requirements, work environment, salary, and outlook. Arranged by 12 major groupings based on interest factors and further subdivisions into work groups and subgroups.
http://www.onetcenter.org/ The Occupational Information Network - O'NET (TM) database takes the place of the Dictionary of Occupational Titles (DOT) as the nation's primary source of occupational information. The O*NET database and related products will help millions of employers, workers, educators, and students make informed decisions about education, training, career choices, and work. The O*NET Project is administered and sponsored by the US Department of Labor's Employment and Training Administration.
