Have you been thinking about how to improve our students’ "ability to recognize when information is needed and to locate, evaluate, and use effectively the needed information" (American Library Association, 1989)? Have you recently considered analyzing the connection between your course content, student assignments, and the degree to which your class supports the progressive development of information literacy skills? Given the current impetus to raise CSU's research productivity and profile, we would like to invite you to a faculty workshop focused on Information Literacy on April 13 (Tuesday) from 1:00 to 2:00 PM in Parker Hannifin 104 & 105. We plan on informing you on the latest developments in terms of Information Literacy as a field of practice as well as a skill area in our General Education program. Light refreshments will be provided, in addition to stimulating intellectual conversations.
