Not too long ago, Christina Sherwood stood before fellow donors and students, tearfully recounting the story of how she'd received the Ruth Ann Moyer Scholarship. "I couldn't stop crying," she said of the day she found out she had been awarded the scholarship. To her, it was an experience that validated her dreams of becoming a high school English teacher and alleviated the concerns she'd had about the financial burden her family would have to bear as a result of her being in college. "Without this gift, I'm not sure how I would have been able to make this dream of mine come true."

You hear a lot about how giving to Cleveland State University changes lives. Well, Christina's living proof.

The Annual Giving Office is charged with the task of bringing in the dollars that finance dreams like those of Christina's. You'd think that after months of planning, appeals and initiatives, there would be a bit of rest at the end of each school year. Not so.
