The Graduate Certificate in School Nurse Licensure Preparation prepares Registered Nurses in Ohio to apply for licensure as a School Nurse in the State of Ohio through the Ohio Department of Education. The curriculum is aligned with the National Association of School Nurses Roles and Standards. Courses are offered on a part-time basis, and take approximately 4 semesters to complete. The program starts every Fall and Summer semesters. At present, the coursework required for the certificate may not be applied towards a Master of Science in Nursing at Cleveland State University.
Students applying to the program must hold a valid, active license as an RN in the State of Ohio, and a baccalaureate degree with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. The baccalaureate degree does not need to be in Nursing.
