We are all healers— to ourselves, each other and the world around us. Whether you are on the path of becoming a health professional, or have been in practice for a long time, this half-day workshop help you to view healing from a holistic perspective that draws from the ancient traditions while respecting contemporary science.
Participation in this interactive, interprofessional program will allow you to:
- Reflect on behaviors that respect the total person, including deep listening with self and others
- Explore the universal concepts of suffering and spiritual pain
- Experience the difficult tasks of listening and having end-of-life discussions with patients and families via an interactive session with interprofessional colleagues
- Review the physical changes that occur during the dying process as well as strategies for symptom management
