Catherine Schoenewald, PhD, RN, CNP, CEN
Dr. Schoenewald began her journey to Nursing with a Bachelor’s in Psychology from Earlham College and continued her education to earn a BSN from Kent State. With a background in Emergency Nursing, Dr. Schoenewald completed her MSN and became certified as a Nurse Practitioner. Dr. Schoenewald is an experienced nurse practitioner with a long history of prescriptive practice. Dr. Schoenewald has been teaching since 2008 and is currently an Assistant Professor at Cleveland State University teaching pediatrics and pharmacology. Her research is in the care of foster children, specifically looking at the sense of belonging children experience within foster care. Dr. Schoenewald earned her Ph.D in Nursing from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee.
