Accelerated BSN Track (Second degree program for persons with non-nursing bachelor's degree)

  • What is an accelerated BSN program?

An accelerated BSN is an alternative program that can dramatically shorten the time frame for receiving a degree in nursing for students who already hold a bachelor's degree in a non-nursing subject. Accelerated program students take all of the courses required for entry into a basic BSN program, complete all nursing support courses, and take the nursing courses in a specially designed sequence providing the same number of credits as in a basic BSN program. By building upon past educational achievements, accelerated programs can graduate students with a BSN degree in four semesters.
